Recording Fees and Requirements
Saline County follows the standard Arkansas fee schedule under Arkansas Code § 21-6-306. Recording costs $15.00 for the first page and $5.00 for each additional page. When a single document contains multiple instruments, there is no fee on the first instrument but $15.00 per additional instrument, up to a maximum of $300.00.

The Real Property Transfer Tax is $3.30 per $1,000 of consideration on transactions over $100. The clerk collects this at the time of recording. If a transaction qualifies for an exemption, have documentation ready when you submit the deed.
All documents must be on 8.5 by 11 inch paper with a 2.5-inch top right margin on the first page for the recorder's stamp, at least half-inch margins on sides and bottom, and a 2.5-inch margin at the bottom of the last page. The document must include the grantor and grantee names, the preparer's name and address, and the grantee's mailing address for tax statements. Signatures must be notarized. Revenue stamps are required on warranty deeds when revenue changed hands. If the property is a homestead, both spouses must join in signing. Starting August 5, 2025, Act 752 requires individuals filing deeds in person to show a valid photo ID.
Surveys and plats require two original instruments, each signed. If the plat is larger than 18 by 24 inches, include a reduced copy. Color plats are accepted only when accompanied by a black-and-white copy. UCC real estate fixture filings are recorded in the real estate records at standard per-page fees. Agricultural liens go through the Arkansas Secretary of State, not the county clerk, per Act 942 of 2009.
